Don't get me wrong, it's nothing spectacular. There rarely is for existing customers but at least if gives you an opportunity to save some money.

As in the title this offer only applies if you currently DON'T currently have Sky Multiscreen.

Give them our most advanced TV viewing experience with Sky Q Multiscreen
If your friends already have Sky+ without Multiscreen, you can help them upgrade to Sky Q with this exclusive offer. They’ll be able to record more and store more for just £12 extra a month for a year.

Plus, they’ll get a free Mini box (usually £40), so they can use Sky Q Multiscreen. That means they can watch TV anywhere around their home and take their recordings with them wherever they go.

They simply need to choose their Sky Q box.

Sky Q 1TB box for a £15 set-up fee:

Record 3 shows while watching a 4th live
Store up to 500 hours of TV

Sky Q 2TB box for a £60 set-up fee:

Record 4 shows while watching a 5th live
Store up to 1000 hours of TV
Watch in stunning Ultra HD

As usual, send me a trust message (click trust, then 'send a message') with your full name and alternate email address if you don't want the code going to your trust email address.

Isn't this what they are offering anyway? I was offered the same thing a couple of months ago, £60 for the UHD box and an extra £12 per month. I'd like a new box with UHD but the service is already expensive enough. Are they ever likely to offer it without an extra monthly charge?

This is the standard deal that already shows on my account for a while now?

I can either choose to pay £12 a month for multiscreen and a one-off charge of £15 for 1tb box or £60 for 2tb box. Or i can pay £199 install charge with no multiscreen.

Sorry, just realised this offer has an extra £12/month and involves multiscreen.

I've already been able to take this by upgrading online, I thought this was to allow you to upgrade without multiscreen, as I only have one TV.

Thanks, but you can give my code to someone else.

as talon1973 alludes, if you have an existing movie/sport/boxset reduction, taking up this 12month deal may leave you paying full wack
for the reduced section as you serve out the rest of the new 12 month period -
without the new contract you might have been able to negotiate a new reduction for the Movie/Sport/Boxset's - correct me if I am wrong

[eg 75% reduction paying £15 a month for MSB w/6 months remaining, would have to pay £60 p/m for MSB for 6 months of new 12 month period = additional £45*6=£270]

I have just moved into a rented house and will be here for a year. Ive taken the sky box I had and plugged it into the existing dish but have the non hd minimum package and no multiroom. I quite fancy upgrading to Sky Q so I can have multiroom without having to drill holes and run extra cables. Id also be open to getting sport and/or movies if there was a good enough deal but Im not so fussed about that. Whats my best options or combination of options right now? If there is not much doing Im quite happy to wait I think.

Standard deal still running is half price on original, variety or Box Sets package for 18 months on an 18 month contract. Add sports and movies and get those half price too.

Does anyone find it curious why the 1TB box has a £15 "set up fee" yet the 2TB has a £60 "set up fee" ?
Does the 2TB box need two engineers to set it up or does the "Ultra HD" need two people to flick a switch.
Why dont they just call it what it is.
