SKY Hub not connecting to Internet ?

Got home from football last night and the little smiley face wasn't on on my sky hub , tried turning it all off and unplugging every connection and re connecting , but it doesn't even light up orange like it's trying to connect , anyone got any ideas or had the same problem ? Any help would be much appreciated :)
 
Phone working?
Try another internet connection to check for sky outages,failing that its a call to Sky to get it sorted :( (be prepared for the usual useless advise like restart,unplug etc etc.you know the drill )
 
Sounds like a line fault. They'll run a line test almost straightaway but if it passes you may struggle as they'll,ask if you have a dial tone.
 
I don't actually have a house phone installed -_- ... Think it could be a phone sky :(

If you don't have a phone line, then you can't get broadband as an active phone line is required (you have to be paying line rental to someone to be able to get internet from any company).

The fact that you're not even getting an orange light on the hub most likely means that your connection has been turned off because there isn't an active line.
 
He means he has no phone to plug into the line to make calls on. Not unusual in my experience.

My landline phone broke years ago and I never replaced it..Plus I had enough of getting random calls trying to sell me crap
But still have to pay for line rental for my broadband..:(

I just use my mobile phone for phone calls..
