I have just got a Sky Hub that looks like this: http://www.uswitch.com/broadband/news/2012/11/sky_hub_wireless_router_review/
First off I have a load of devices that I wish to connect to the ethernet ports: TV, Xbox, Sky HD box & PC....do I need to buy special cables or will the £1 cables on amazon do? (eg. "Wired--up 1M Cat5e RJ45 Ethernet LAN Network Cable UTP Lead")
Secondly, I wish to connect via RDP to my computer (which will be connected via ethernet) from a laptop which will be connected via Wifi. Given that the router is single band, is it going to be detrimental to a decent RDP experience? Am I right in saying being single band will only decrease the bandwidth and therefore not affect the RDP experience which is most dependant on ping (at a guess).
