Sky Installation

I'm getting my Sky fiber installed tomorrow morning but am looking for opinions on where to locate the modem and router....

The master socket in the house is currently in the living room next to the TV however my PC is upstairs in the office. Ideally I would like this PC wired into the router rather than wireless. However the Sky HD box also needs to be plugged into it.

I was thinking about asking the openreach engineer to move the master socket into the office and install the modem and router in there however, will they move it and would this be the best place to have it?

You can use powerline adaptors or a switch to get around the issue without having to have the master socket moved, depending on how far away the office is from the living room (you'd have the same problem again connecting the sky box if the line is moved).
