Sky - Introduce a Friend can't be used after you've ordered :(

I ordered Sky on Thu but forgot to ask for the "refer a friend" offer. I rang them up this morning to be told that I needed to ask for vouchers at the time of ordering.

This seems a bit tight?

I'm in two minds whether to send the card back and tell them to keep it!

I haven't got the T&C's of the "Refer a friend" in front of me - but as far as I remember they do clearly state names/account numbers have to be given during the ordering phase.

I've got the terms in front of me and I can't see any reference to what you're saying.

Not tight at all really, if they let you apply the refer a friend offer after you've started your service then thousands of people could get the money off (or whatever refer a friend does).

1. You need to invite your friend to join Sky
2. Your friend needs to join Sky by calling 08442 410 951 by October 31st
3. When your friend's account is activated we will arrange the delivery of your gift

Introduce A Friend offer: Only available by following the steps set out on this website and not by any other means.....
