Sky IP Keeps Changing

I have recently setup a webcam in a friends house so she can keep an eye on some new pups that have arrived. All is working fine with the remote IP cam, I have setup remote web access via a free DNS provider http://www.noip.com/

The problem is that her WAN IP address keeps changing on a daily basis and this means that the web url does not work. I end up having to login to http://www.noip.com/ and updating the WAN IP which is not ideal.

She is with Sky and I asked to call and ask about a static IP but this is not something they offer. After a quick Google I see that Sky do have "sticky" IPs so it should never really change that much so I am not sure why its changing on a daily basis.

Anyone else experienced this or suggest a work around?

I personally am with Virgin and my WAN IP never changes.

Not as far as I know, even then when I have power cycled my Virgin hub it hardly ever changes.

Is it not possible to put the no-ip details into the router to maintain the IP when it changes, if not you could run a script every X mins to maintain the IP, lots of options for this with a quick google.

There's a free service, but it's not as good as it used to be. You now have to confirm that you're still using it every so often, which is mildly annoying.

Does the Sky router support other DDNS providers?

Dyn DNS isn't really free any more.

You could have a look at
if you are desperate.

I use freedns.afraid.org for my dynamic DNS with Sky Fibre. Not sure if the Sky router will support it however, I use a third party router.
