going to get sky box for my room, going to get sky sports etc but only want it available in my room, so is there anyway that I can make it not appear or not for use in the downstairs sky box?

cheers

It already appears in the channel list wether you are paying for it or not. When you subscribe both cards will be allowed access to the channels because they are in the same name.

Say if you had 2 sky digiboxes, would they both work or would you have to pay to use both? surely sky cant tell that your using 2 boxes can they? oh just remebered about the cards, but if i did not have another card, i could still get channels like sky one and MTV tho right?

if you have 2 sky boxes running from 2 seperate feeds then they are both seperate. if you have one sky box and you are running another room via rf output then you will see only what the box is looking at that is outputting...but if you have 2 seperate boxes with 2 seperate feed you will be fine...multi room does that ya know :)

but in having 2 separate boxes, one is an exact mirror of another. Therefore whatever channels you pay for on the main box will be mirrored on the other. Multiroom does that ya know ;):)

yeah just remember to keep them connected to the telephone line, or you'll get loads of letters and grief.

No because sky one and mtv are free to air, i belive you would recive bbc 1, 2, itv 1, channel 4 and five, and possiby some radio stations, but no sky 1,2,3 or any thing else it will ask you to insert a viewing card, to see how this works, remove the viewing card from your current sky box, also you would need to have a dish which can fead more than one box and actually own more than one box.

They don't care wether your connected to the telephone line or not. We have never been connected to it.

Only on single box systems. Once you've added multiroom to your subscription they check to make sure you aren't using it to cheaply supply a second house with sky tv.
