Sky are rolling out the big planner upgrade from tonight I believe.

Loads of channel number changes, lots of new options in the EPG. Your own mini-EPG with 50fav channels in. When an advert of a program you think looks good is on you can press blue and it adds it to your planner.

Planner is now accessed via green instead of 0.

It also apparently cures lots of bugs in the software, espescially with Sky+ systems.

Let me know if/when you get it.

Well technically Sky said that the update is coming "week commencing" 16/01/06.

Sky seem to like doing updates on Tuesdays so perhaps it will come through tonight. Different boxes get it at different times but in the past Sky+ seem to get it first. I have a Pace V1 Sky+ box. I did a forced update but am still on the old software for now.

Ive fiddled around in the setup menu, turning pin settings on, then off again to see if that works. But alas, no joy. I'm not sure about fiddling around in the 'engineers' service menu. WHat do you think peeps ?

You cannot switch it off. It's because Sky are soon to release PPV 15+ movies during the day time. Protected by PIN of course. So this PIN protection in the Sky+ software is part of that too incase you record any naughty films or just scary ones.

My Sky+ Pace V1 hasnt been updated so I am forcing a manual update at the moment, see what happens...

EDIT - Forced update = no new software.

I think the new channel numbers are due on 25th Feb.

If you dont have the new v4.0 software by then I expect your box will go a bit screwy

My Pace v1 is still on old software.

Maybe they do certain ranges of cards at a time or something then?

I thought they rolled it out to all Pace V1 at once, then some other brand and model all at once etc...
