Not sure if this is the correct section

Well scooby doo is currently streaming at roughly 1.8Mbits/s (sky player within WMC at high quality). Which equates to, I think, 810 MBytes/hour.

so nearly 1 GB per hour is that right? seems really high.
Im currently watching sky sports 1, so in total that will work out to nearly 3 GB just to watch a football match.

If this is the case i will have to seriously think about using sky player as BT are currently capping users when exceeding 100gb per month and if i use skyplayer all the time i will easily exceed that.

Just found this http://www.techradar.com/news/softw...-on-sky-player-on-windows-media-center-643942 which suggests 1.8Mbps is the maximum rate
... with a maximum streaming rate of 1.8Mbps down to 1.1Mbps for the live channels and 1.4 Mbps for the On Demand catch up television.

Do BT give you a way of monitoring usage through the month and emailing if approaching a limit? If not I'm sure there are software tools to help keep track. Or you could change ISPs... Fortunately I'm on a unlimited package so don't have to worry about download limits :p
