Sky Q Hub without Sky Q?!

Hi all,

Does anyone know whether a 2nd hand or 3rd party bought Sky Q Hub would work with regular, non-sky Q fiber optic broadband? I am a Sky Fibre user who doesn't need all the extra TV bits but would like a Wireless AC router that just works.

You can buy one from Sky. They're still pretty rare otherwise.

The hub without the TV is called sky hub 3.0, same as the Q though.

Mine says Sky Q Hub model ER110 on it. Nothing about Sky Hub 3.0.

Oh really!? Wow, OK. I couldn't find the option to do that online. Do you know the right department to contact?

It's on the website - My Sky, Upgrades then Customise your package. It's near the bottom under "Add Sky Broadband & Talk extras".

When I phoned to order the hub, she said as I didn't have a Q TV package I couldn't have it. But she went off to check and then said "Oh learned something new... the hub without TV is known as 3.0".
