Sky+ / RemoteRecord issue

I'm trying to set up Remote Record on my Sky ID, but Sky say that I don't have Sky+.

We had standard Sky but my parents upgraded to HD and we took out a multiroom subscription on the old standard Sky box. Since then, I have purchased a Sky+ box from a third party, who also set it up (called Sky to pair my viewing card with the new box).

I can pause/record/rewind etc. on my Sky+ box so I assume Sky must know that I have a Sky+ box.

I just want to know that I won't have an issue contacting Sky about this, with having a box I didn't buy from them?

Anybody else had similar issues?
