Sky Router and DMZ

Hey there, I set my computer up as a Dmz server, I enterd the computers Lan Ip address 192.168.0.5 and clicked apply.

I opened Utorrent and the Network Light was Green(Ok).

I went into Option - Speed guide and clicked - Test if Port is Forwarded properly - and it says that its Ok.

Fast forward to today and my speeds have been very bad on Utorrent even on torrents that have got 4000 Seeds, I checked to see if the Port was open but Utorrent said "Error! Port 42229 does not appear to be open."

I checked my settings in the router and they seem fine, My computer has got a Static Ip address and it hasent changed.

I done a speed test and it came up at 11mb and tried downloading files from another website and it came up at full speeds.

Anybody know why the port is not open any Longer, I reset the router and it still dont work.

Should I flash my Sky Router and use the 3rd party Firmware?

Or is there anything else causing this.

p.s. I dont use a Firewall or Anti-Virus.

I'm assuming from your post that you have the DG834GT V1 router? The current Sky firmware is V1.03.87.

Why not just forward the ports rather than using a DMZ, try following the guide for the DG834GT here.

Have you tried using a different ports are you sure your ip hasn't changed even though it's supposed to be static.
