I no longer have a use for my wireless sky router?

I have virgin media which is plugged in downstairs to a wireless router, and my xbox is wired into it.

In my room I have my PC which I would like to connect to the network, I also am considering moving my xbox up there. Rather than getting a wireless card and a Xbox360 Wireless adaptor I was thinking about using another router as a wireless bridge.

Is there anyway of using my old Sky router as a bridge, so basically anything can plug into it upstairs and it will link to the router with the internet connection downstairs?

The sky router is one of those netgear ones with account details pre-loaded into the firmware.

Thanks very much

Not sure if theirs enough access to the sky and virgin routers to make it worthwhile trying to bridge wirelessly. Linking the routers by cable would bea easier though any chance this is possible?

If you forget about the sky router you could access the pc via Homeplug adapters (ethernet over the mains) linking the virgin router to an outlet upstairs, add another to get the xbox online via ethernet (lot easier than wifi bridging)

Thos homeplug things would cost more than a wireless card and xbox, looks like a good idea.

There is no point linking the two with wires, otherwise i would just run a cable from upstairs to the router downstairs.

Is it no possible to flash the firmware of the sky router to make it a normal WG602?
