I recently got my sky unlimited activated and it came along with SR101 router. I've tried connect my ps4 via ethernet and it doesn't seem to connect, always fail to sign in to the psn network. I've also tried to connecting my laptop via ethernet and still can't browse the web. I can ping the bbc website via command line.

I also tried all four ports but still have the same problem.

Any reason why I can't sign into psn or browse the web when connected with an ethernet port?

Shouldn't be any reason at all. Can you try with a PC/laptop via Ethernet? Try Resetting the router?

Tried soft and hard reset still not luck. This is with a laptop connect via Ethernet. I can ping websites without any packets being lost, I've done this with command line.

Funny thing is, is that I can search thing using the search bar next to the address bar but when I tried load the website it just constantly loads without anything being displayed.

PS4 and laptop confirmed working via Ethernet at parents house. Which leads me to believe it could be a setting on the hub itself maybe?

OK have you factory reset the hub? Think someone else may have mentioned this, sorry can't remember now

Restart all digital devices, reboot the router to factory settings and try again. Always the first port of all on ALL technology issues.

Already tried before, even as far as restoring my ps4 to factory setting. Can't think what else I do? Guess it's a faulty router

Sounds like a proxy and port issue.

Screenshots and photos could be of use; in addition of helping.

Get your log in details from it and throw it out! ;)

Hated having to use mine. Have you tried sticking the PS4 into the DMZ? That would help (a little bit, never fix the problem) with games consoles for me.

How do I get the log the details?

If I am reading rightfully, you said "I have had it installed recently".

Just a thought, did you activate your equipment on their network. Couldn't you contact or look around Sky's Help forum for some help? I'm 100% sure they'll have a section for issues there, similar or maybe the same as your issue(s).

I don't see many problems in the log, it looks to be displaying the incorrect date though "Jan 00:xx:xx syslog" (system log).

I am unsure if I've already signed up to Sky's help forum, although I could sign up or login (if I have an account) and ask for help for you?

Such a strange fault.

Have you tried path-ping and trace route? (In addition to the normal ping), may I ask?
