Hi there, please can you assist with this new setup for my friend.

I'm building him a new PC and he says hes going to have it in the kitchen at his house. He's on Sky broadband and he has the Sky wireless router in the living room and so I was looking at buying a USB wireless adapter for his PC like this one:

I just have a few questions:

  1. Will this USB wireless adapater be ok?
  2. And he says that Sky's router isn't duel band, its just single band 2.4ghz but will that make a difference?
  3. And do you think this is the best setup as he really doesnt want long wires trailing through his house.

Thanks in advance.

I've got the Home plugs as mentioned above on Sky Broadband these are the ones I have around the house. TP-LINK TL-WPA4220KIT

:)

Thanks a lot for all your replies, we bought the TP-Link plugs and my friend said they're working brilliantly at his house. Very impressed.

I didn't know about this new technology, its pretty cool how they work! :D

Thanks again.
