Sky router

Hi guys, posting from phone as my router has messed up. What am I doing wrong? I moved the router downstairs and it just would not connect. I've since reset it and cannot for the love of money get the Internet light to come on?

It flashes orange briefly, I can access the router settings page but I'm lost now

please help!

Have you tried it back where it used to be? That's the first thing I'd do.

Microfilters ??

Got micro filter on and doesn't work in old spot

Get it into the master socket or test socket if there is one, microfilter (ideally a new one too) then router, nothing else. If it still doesn't work there's not much else you can do unless you have a new DSL cable. Try unplugging the short white cable from the microfilter (the one that goes from the filter into the phone socket) and plugging it directly into the router and the phone point. if you still don't get sync then either there's a fault on the line or you need a new router. While any non Sky router will gain sync you won't get online with it but it's a good way to check if the line is OK. Do you have an old Router from your previous ISP? If not then you really need to call Sky.
