So I have sky broadband and router, i was told by the BT engineer our house is a fair distance form the exchange so speeds are not going to be great about 3Mbs. You tube videos are a big no no :( Its been about 6months now and its driving me nuts, sometime it comes to crawl and I have to reboot the router. Will a new router Asus DSL-N55U help solve the problems of restarting it and maybe speed things up

You might want to take down the first picture, not saying anyone is a dick on this forum but not worth leaving your phone # up there :)

Ok so, sadly you're currently getting about as much as you can from your line, your exchange YATTON is due to be evaluated for fibre in 2015, which would massively increase your speed due to the distance constraint being moved from the exchange to your local PCP cabinet.

The noise margin is quite good for your download so just as long as you're not experiencing disconnects, you've got a solid line, even if it's quite slow.

The 43db line attenuation is the reason your speed is so low, longer line, more attenuation.

i've taken them down now and thanks for your help :)
