Sky Sports free on Sunday 26th Sept

You can watch for free on Sunday if you're a Sky/Virgin etc customer without the sports package. Says it's not available on freeview but I suspect they mean Freesat ie still needs a viewing card to unscramble soft encryption. I could be wrong though so might be worth trying Freesat on the day.

Sky Sports is now available on TopUpTV (same platform as Freeview), so they probably mean that. Typically these free days aren't available to Freesat viewers either though.

Quick question on this free day, if I record something that is on Sky Sports will I still be able to watch it after the free day has expired or will it tell me I need to buy the sports package? I want to watch the two NFL games that are on but don't really want to sit through all the interruptions, ad breaks etc.

Yes on Virgin, no on Sky.

I was gonna get the sports package put on to my Virgin package today to watch the Falcons vs Saints game although Sky came up trumps with the free day and wow, what a freaking game. :D
