Totally strange one going on, everything was fine yesterday, hibernate PC at night, turned it on today, if I played a channel on Sky Go the main monitor goes into standby, downloaded Sky Sports, same issue, updated to latest AMD Drivers, few restarts etc all seems fine aside from this, games are fine, all other media and streaming is fine, temps etc look totally normal.

Only issue is these damnnable sky apps, has anyone encountered this at all?

I7 13th Gen
32gb
AMD Radeon 9700 XTX 24GB

The Sky service work fine if the player is on screen 2 or 3 & totally watchable, just screen 1 is off in standby while the player is open, I'm baffled!

Any thoughts?

Could try rearranging which monitor is recognised
As screen 1,2,3
But that might mess up other stuff
No longer got multiple monitors
So can't see if my sky does the same
Might be one of those things that gets sorted
Next time sky updates the app
Sometimes it's not your end that's the problem it's their end

Yeah, possibly, weirdest thing was it was working last night, pc wa hibernated, not restarted normally & then this happens!

At least it's still useable
Even if its behaving a bit on the weird side
Comes down to how much time and effort
You want to use trying to fix it
Simplest thing uninstall and reinstall it
Other than that you could spend hours trying all sorts
But get nowhere

Yep, uninstalled Sky Go, reinstalled, installed Sky Sports PC app too, both doing this very same, strange thing! Just one of those things I know, but also hugely annoying especially as nothing on the system has changed one bit!

It's possible they did something in the background
Since they will have firewall and antivirus permissions
Been a long time but vaguely recall
That sky puts at least one hidden file on the system
Some sort of xml file think it was

True, just makes you wonder what they'd do to essentislly shut off your main screen when you run the app!

Yep, 2 x Gigabyte M32Q
That rules out thoughts of its picking
A particular monitor based on having different specifications then

I wonder if it thinks you're watching on too many devices
Even though technically a pc is one device
Just you have more than one monitor
Must admit just guessing here
Other than swap monitor positions in nvidia control panel
Or windows settings I can't think of anything else

Don't even remember where it hid the xml file
Or most of what was in it
Other than it identified your sky account

No worries, I'll take a peek around, no sky apps open and main screen just went into standby for about 4 minutes again, the came back, it's so wierd.

Updated all adrenaline drivers, gojng through all the Asus stuff now too.

Had a look on sky forum
Looks like sky don't like disclosing how anything works

Things like this are why I have 2 windows install
On separate drives
One has absolutely everything installed
The other only the basics
That way I can switch drives to see if issues are replicated
It's surprising how many times switching to the
Bare install solves the problem

I can imagine, even though not a lot has been installed on her in the big scheme of things it's still been used daily so gets so much crap built up, whixh reminds me, I rewlly need to take it outside on a dry day and give it a good air dusting!
