If i remember right the DRM or codec that Sky uses is not Linux compatible so it's a bit of a non starter. Maybe you can use the android app via an emulator if you're desperate to use the Linux laptop for this? I did this on Windows a few years back and it worked ok.
I can run Sky Go on a trial un-activated Windows 11 install on a VirtuaBox virtual machine within a Windows 10 laptop and it runs OK, so I imagine if your laptop is powerful enough it should work with Linux on a virtual machine.
As an update to this SkySports.com has shifted to an in browser DRM model that now works on Linux! thank the gods, Laptop is now switched to Mint and happier than ever!
