So being cynical does anyone else here think that this is just wrong...?

I mean SSN run a story Ronaldo back to United!!!! IT'S ON! Guillem Balague is on chatting how much Ronaldo loves United. Let's go over to our resident Sky Bet berk and see what the odds are, oh they're very good odds... *hint hint* *nudge nudge* a day later... oh it fell through he's signed a new contract at RM.

How easily can one hands change the market while the other can benefit big and people can just seems bad to me.

I doubt it's that big a deal. Even if Sky Sports could sway the market to one side, if they tried to open up a big gap with SkyBet odds, people would be flooding them with arbs against the other bookies with the correct odds, and they'd be in trouble.

You think Sky are the only ones who do that? All betting companies engineer prices one way or another. Whether it be fake stories or ramping horses they don't think will win so that their price comes in and entices punters who think theres a big move on it.

Most online betting companies also have their own pages where tipsters and the like talk about the days sport and good bets to have. That is ridiculously open to abuse.

Nothing new at all.
