Sky start refunding HD deposits.

Anybody else received an email from WorldPay refunding the £30 SKY HD deposit?

Over on AVForums one guy is stating that he received his installation call this morning and first installs are May 22nd.

Seems a bit close cut for the start of the World Cup for people further down the pecking order :eek:
 
I have been refunded my £30 from worldpay but as of yet no phone call from sky HD. :(

Please be assured that you have pre-ordered and you are included within our
call process that commences today. As per our terms and conditions, 'if you
pre-order Sky HD via sky.com/hd, your £30 deposit will be refunded to you
prior to booking your installation'. The fee was to reserve your place on
the list, as the pre-order process has now been completed and calling has
commenced, we are refunding the pre-order deposit in full. When you receive
your phone call from Sky you will be asked to pay the £299 purchase price in
full.

I have had my installation confirmed for 22nd May after the refund email this morning.
If you get the £30 refund it is a good sign.
 
Ive had my £30 refund, just waiting for "the" call now :)...how said is it when your waiting by the phone wanting to give Sky £300 ?
 
Got the call today as well (no sign of my £30 back yet but my account always shows a 24hr delay). Paid the £299 and also got an install date of May 22nd. Roll on HD Monday :D
 
Yup Ive got a 22nd May install as well :), looks like they are going to be busy on that day.

@if ®afiq, Sky HD is £299 for the box and an extra £10 per month on top of what ever Sky Subscription you have but if you dont have 2 or more premium channels then you also have to pay a £10 Sky+ subscription every month.

So for Sky World on HD it will cost £52,50, + Mirror sub if taken.

For family pack viewers it will be £21 + £10 + £10 = £41? + Mirror Sub if taken.

Sky Movies 9+10 HD
Arts world HD
Sky Sports HD
and BBC HD which is just a test at the moment for 12 months but will include the World cup and Wimbledon (starts 14 May)

Mmm world cup football - that may be worth it.

I use Sky in Belgium at the moment so can I get hold of a sky HD box from any other sources as I don't want them to intall it (obviously).
