sky strait to my monitor

hi all, just about to get sky for downstairs to go into a hd 37" tv no props there nice and simple, but thinking about getting multi room but the only other screen i have would be my monitor.

i dont really want have to go thru the computer as it would then need to be on in order to watch sky, was hoping that there was a way to plug it strait into my monitor it is 19" wide screen with a natural res of 1440*900 and has a vga connection (not dvi)

can this be done?

You need a hardware converter to convert an RGB scart signal to VGA.

You would also need some audio hardware for the sound.

ok thanks have googled rgb vga convertor and belive i have came up with the goods (cant link as seen them on competitors sites) didnt know about these or if there was anouther way around it
