I've recently purchased SkyStream, and I am experiencing various difficulties trying to get the HDMI CEC to work with my setup.
My setup involves the Sky Stream puck connected to my Denon X3800 AVR, and the output from the AVR to my LG CX TV. I have HDMI CEC enabled on my TV, AVR, and Stream Puck. When I turn the Stream Puck on using the Sky remote, all my devices come on and switch to the correct inputs. However, when I turn off the Stream Puck, only the puck turns itself off, and both my TV and AVR remain on. I need to use my LG TV remote to turn the TV off which then turns off the AVR.
Another issue I am facing is that I can't use the volume buttons on the Sky remote to control the volume on my TV. I've gone through all the volume signals for my LG TV, and it seems that it's unsupported, which is bizarre considering the TV is only a few years old. I also noticed that newer LG TVs like the G2 and G3 are not supported either.
The only way I've managed to get it to work is by using my Logitech Harmony remote, but the input lag on the Stream Puck is so slow that it's really frustrating to use.
Reading online on the Sky forums looks like there are all sorts of issues. Are others experiencing these types of issues, and how can they be overcome?
