Sky Technical fault????

anyone else have this problem with Sky TV???.....for the past 40 mins on every channel all im getting is a blue screen with it saying THERE IS A TECHNICAL FAULT WITH THIS CHANNEL PLEASE TRY LATER......ive had it before but never for this long :confused:
 
Had it on Sky Sports for a few minutes, flicked away to the discovery channel and back and it was fine. As they say, switch off on front of sky box, switch off at mains, wait 2 minutes then switch it all back on again.
 
Ive been having the same problems as there was a big storm last night here in devon. I just turn off at mains and wait for a few mins then plug back in. My neighbours tree blows in front of my dish and then i get nothing so im planning to chop the tree down one drunken night this week ;)
 
Its to do with signal strength or the box could be on its way out.
I used to have this problem with mine phoned up sky & they said remove card/ unplug from mains etc.
Yet it started happening more frequently.
So i phoned up again & moaned at them.
They said they'd send out an engineer for 60-80 notes (can't remember what it was) i said i'm not paying that, cancel my subscription.
To which the person said "hang on i just have to talk to my supervisor".
Came back on the phone & said they'd send out an engineer free of charge :rolleyes:
Engineer came, had a look, & replaced the box & its been fine since.
That was about 2 years ago, looks like they didn't wanna lose a customer.
Also recently i phoned up & said "I want to cancel my subscription" (sub was 42 notes).
Asked why as usual & i told them i don't think its worth the money repeat after repeat.
So they said they'll give me a package for 5.50 per month plus 6 months free as we have been with them for over 10 years (basicly skyone discovery living tv & quite a few others (no movies or sport).
Moan at them see what you get. :D
