I know there are 1 or 2 sky employees on this board so maybe someone here can help.

I'm moving into an apartment in a few weeks time and was told/heard that there was no communal dish for Sky TV. I did make a point to talk to someone in the concierge when viewing and was told Sky wasn't possible.

Not entirely convinced off the say so from someone in the concierge I spoke to Sky online who told me I could in fact get Sky, despite me telling them I was told there was no dish on the roof. I've also checked independent price comparison websites and after entering my post code I am told that Sky is also available.

This is a bit of a problem because I don't want to order Sky only to find out I can't have it installed if someone turned up and found no dish; on the other hand I really don't want to be stuck with Virgin because of personal choice for Sky, and Sky having better deals/and the Sky Atlantic channel.

I might have to wait until I actually move in but this would mean having no TV or internet for a few weeks which isn't ideal. Any ideas on where to go from here?

Thanks

I would guess it might actually be part of the rules of living there that no dishes are allowed, rather than Sky not actually being available. I'd just get internet and NowTV until your sure that you either can or can't get it.

Yeah I saw the other thread about nowtv and noticed Sky Atlantic was included.

I'm considering virgin internet (since you don't need a phone line for it) and Apple TV so that I can stream now tv at 720p

Looks like the best choice in my situation unless I'm mistake...
