Thanks for the reply, phoned them again today and tried to push for around £50pm but they wouldn't budge from the original deal of £59pm. Slightly frustrating since I've seen people are getting better deals! I might not get the movies and get my Variety/legacy HD/F1 with Sky Q for £49pm. Overall it will still be saving £5pm over what I'm paying now for internet, phone and tv.

You mention a free Sky Q upgrade? Does that mean free boxes? They offered me the 2tb and a mini (I think) for £115 and then each additional mini for £50. I don't mind paying the £12pm as the new house will have more tv and so will need multi-room anyway!

This is the deal I have.

They’ll be able to record more and store more for just £12 extra a month and with this exclusive offer they can enjoy the Sky Q 2TB box with no installation fee, and get a mini box for half price (saving a total of £90)

But you can't have Multiscreen already.

Well, our last deal has run out now, so we will be contacting Sky over the next week, mentioning "expensive", "Amazon Prime" and "Netflix" and the like, and see what they can do.

Ideally like 40%-50% off across the board... I'm still on ADSL, so if they can throw in some sort of unlimited fibre that would be nice.

note: I'm still on the old F1 HD legacy package so be a shame to lose that...

Don't let them talk you into Box Sets as you'll lose your legacy F1 HD pack.

Well we've discovered why our sky never actually stopped. It turns out Sky have processed our cancellation, issued confirmation email, raised final bill then back office has apparently "rejected" it because there's nothing wrong with account and set everything back up on the 4th September and started billing again, all without informing us.

It's just lucky I looked at the future billing section and saw it generating bills for upcoming months.

So we have:-
Line Rental: £18.99
SKy Anytime Extra: £8
ADSL Unlimited: £10
TV Variety: £32
SKy HD Pack: £12 (this is a legacy package which includes Sky F1 HD)
Total = £80.99

We've come off our last offer...

We've just been offered, moving onto the Sky Original Bundle (losing the kids channels and Sky F1) with Sky Unlimited Fibre (instead of our current ADSL), for £55 instead of £68.99 a month (ie: the price it will be after 18months).

They wouldn't offer anything at the time for our existing packages, unfortunately.

They said to phone up, which I'll do on Monday. If they would offer our existing package(s) + fibre unlimited for around £60 I'd probably be happy with that TBH! It would be a shame to lose Sky F1 HD, but not the end of the world I guess.

Any comments on what to expect on the phone on Monday?

Note: The operator confirmed the only channels we would lose moving from our current packages to Sky Original would be Sky F1 and the kids channels...

Well have now cancelled my whole Sky package after a phone call with retentions. Wasn't as bad as I expected, after I explained I wasn't after any discounts and that I wanted to try virgin the guy just excepted I was leaving, he was very pleasant and explained what would happen. So Virgin VIP package incoming for 30th Sept and will still have Sky Sports and Cinema.

Well I had Sky ring me up yesterday asking if I wanted to rejoin with my line rental and tv and broadband and offered me 40% discount .
I asked her to check my account details and then she just said oh dear
Needless to say she didn't try and push to hard as I'm currently in deadlock with Sky over the issues I had so the ombudsman are dealing with it now.
On a side note I now have to wait for 5 days for a specialist openreach team to investigate what sky did with my line as according to all tests now there has never been a line in my house Bt know there was one as my line rental was with them before moving to Sky.
Hopefully it won't require an engineer visit and then I can just get some broadband back .i reckon it will be 1 month at least I will have been without broadband before it's sorted .
Honestly feel like I have lost a limb
The annoying thing is I bought NOW tv for the entertainment pack but can't watch it So will waste a month of my 3 month subscription

Decided to cancel Sky, they offered me £19 again for a year….narh…….I hardly watch it now GoT has finished. £240 a year to watch Friends repeats? No thanks
So I assume that's TV only and not line rental?

I think I'll have to lose my much cherished HD legacy package to negotiate a better deal. No more F1 HD :(

Is anyone able to comment. If you do cancel, simply as an attempt to get an automated price reduction, can you do this safetly knowing that for a week or so, nothing will happen?

ie: You won't be cut off (TV or phone or broadband) wise?

Nothing will happen for 31 days. That's the point in the notice period.

Hi Guys, new to the forum and wonder how I have not come across this before. I am liking the tactics used to get the best deal out of sky by you all. It is something I have repeatedly done over the last 3-4yrs and it does work. I am currently coming towards the end of my current 12 month deal which has a 60% discount and contacted sky via chat to see what they could do as I really wany sky q this time around. As ever the current deal could not be matched, they offered 40% on sky+ or just 10% for a Sky q. I was then offered 50% off after I said no to both but really want to hold out for the 60%. Has anyone recently got the 60% on sky + but then a few weeks later go for the £12/month sky q upgrade??

well we've now cancelled

Was offered 60% off for a year again by some bloke on chat.
Chased for a month no one else seemed to have access to the offer
The box is knackered and they've put out price up from around £16 to £38 or summit

MissChief, is the SKY Q upgrade code you have only if you upgrade to sky Q and multiroom? I've been tempted by Q but have no need for the additional box and the standard £200 install fee is too rich for me.

Edit: I should add in case it makes a difference, I am in contract as took out the 50% off a few months back so currently paying £19 for the boxset package

I had similar, ended up putting in a complaint and after a few weeks I got the 60% off.
