Sky TV - HDMI Audio

Hi all,

Just had Sky TV installed, quick question regarding audio. I have a Sony STR DG 1060 and Sony 55W829. Sky > DG1060 > TV. Under Sky settings, I have the option for "Normal/Dolby" shall I just set it to Dolby? As far as I can tell, normal is just stereo? What if I'm watching a movie, will it automatically change to dolby or will I have to do it manually each time etc?

Set the Sky menu to Dolby. Remember to press the colour button (green, I think) to confirm the choice before exiting the menu. Any channel or program that had Dolby Digital will output it then by default. The amp will recognise it and switch automatically. Just to be clear, you won't see D.D. on all channels all the time because it isn't universal, but setting the Sky box this way ensure it will play in D.D. where the channel or programme carries that sound.
