After a kind hearted member on here have me a nice little code for sky I'm about to order. Now i know you used to get Sky F1 with the HD pack, is that still true? or is it now only with the sports pack??

I don't really want all the sports channels but can't do without the F1 haha

I cancelled Sports a few months ago and still have access to the F1 channel. I presume it's part of the HD pack but I'm not sure if it's a historical thing. :)

Now only with the sport pack. Those with the old HD pack keep it until they change the base package IIRC.

I'm sure Misschief will be along shortly. ;)

and am i right in thinking that the f1 races are just on sky f1 ? bt or talk talk don't have the option? Going to be up past £50 a month to get it :(

I think that if you orignally had F1 HD with the HD pack and then added Sky Sports you would keep the F1 HD when you cancel Sky Sports as it reverts back to your old package. At least I think that's how it worked with me.

Some free on BBC as per last year but yes, only Sky for the full season of races

I'm happy with it. Then again years of fathead on ITV and Legard dulling up the BBC probably lowered my expectations.

You don't say why you think it's dire so I'm only guessing, not being a psychic and all. ;)

I noticed I am getting the SKY F1 HD channel for free towards the end of last season. I am not paying for it but do subscribe to HD, Multiroom and pretty much all the channels APART from Sky Sports/Movies (I do get BT Sport for the UFC).

Edit. Also internet/telephone services via Sky, although I'd imagine the free F1 would be part of the TV package. Probably.

Martin Brundle was the only presenter that had a clue and I can't stand him.

For new customers you need sports to get the F1. And that's in SD unless you add on the premium HD pack. Send me a trust message Stinky and I will sort you a code.

Unfortunately Sky and the BBC both have bad commentators - David Croft and Ben Edwards both adopt the "shout out loudly what they are seeing on screen" approach and it's really irritating. I wish I could just have the FOM world feed to be honest.

RIP the Brundle/Coulthard days.

I just watch it on NowTV using codes purchased off eBay, keeps it at around £10 for each weekend, which is fine by me. If it's going to be a boring race then I will watch it on the BBC if it's live but I'd rather Sky's overcooking of the event by turning it into a five hour broadcast and possibly mentioning some interesting stuff in the build-up than the BBC approach.

I have one thanks MissCHief. Just signing up to £33.20 a month for the family package inc internet and line rental. Ill find another way of watching the F1 haha

they just called to arrange insulation, and managed to swap out a £25 gift card and got an extra £5 a month off. £27.90 a month for the family pack inc internet :)
