Hi all,

I currently have a sky + and multi room subscription to sky. The sky box in my room is a bog standard sky box and i would like to have 2 Sky+ boxes instead. I've been browsing a well known auction site and have seen many sky+ boxes for sale, am i right in thinking i could just buy one of these sky + boxes, insert the viewing card and put it in my room? Or is the viewing card tied to a specific box ??

Thanks

Dave

Say i was to have the cabling redone, would a sky + box from flebay work with the current viewing card in my multiroom box?

Thanks

Dave

After a quick call to Sky, yes.

With regards to the cabling you need to run one additional cable from the LNB on your dish to the Sky+ box. Make sure you use Satellite grade cable, recommend WF100.

It's not too tricky assuming the dish is easily accessible.
