Hi all,

Hoping one of you lot can help me here.

A friend wants broadband for the first time. She has a BT phone line, and a Sky+ package.

Other than wanting a wireless router, which is going to be best for her?

Move everything over to sky, phone, broadband + keep sky+, or just get BT broadband?

Can't imagine the usage will be vast, although her other half with probably be downloading porn left right and centre.

EDIT: Oh, and I imagine there will be set up/connection costs too as its the first time they've had broadband :eek:

What kind of 'thing' will she be doin gon the net? I would say just get one of the Sky packages which will work out cheaper for her.

Everything with Sky, if she can get the LLU service.

Go to www.samknows.com and put in her postcode. If the Sky/Easynet LLU is available to her then it's a no-brainer :)

Only LLU in our area seems to be:

TalkTalk (CPW) is available in your area

with:

The following services are available in your location:

* BT Wholesale ADSL
* BT Wholesale ADSL Max
* TalkTalk (CPW) LLU

Would it be best to go with BT then?

I don't think we are getting full LLU until the end of the year (tf9 1rl)

I believe Plusnet use TalkTalk's LLU.

If she's a casual surfer it'd be perfect :)

I've been with Aquiss for 4 years now, and kind of went with the notion of, if its not broken don't fix it.

What's LLU got over normal adsl?

i have had both and sky is the best, if your a tv subscriber its only £7 a month for unlimited upto 20meg and the bt was £18 a month for 10gig. the sky seems faster to on maintaining maxium doewnload speed
