hey i just got the sky wireless router but i want it to connected my wireless router to my current IP address (plusnet) i heard you cant do that and another problem is that everytime i press ://192.168.0.1 nothing comes up

If I've understood you correctly you want to use the Sky router on PlusNet? In that case you'll need to FLASH THE ROUTER first. You can use any firmware you like when following the tutorial (I recommend UberGT). Make sure you follow the steps to recover your username and password should you need it in future for Sky.

As for the router's web config gui not working, I have no idea. So long as the router is wired to the PC and the NIC is working then it should load straight up. You're not trying to connect wirelessly, are you? Even that should work, but just in case...

Some routers default to 192.168.1.1 instead, worth a try.

Which router's given your machine an IP address, subnet mask et al - if one's given out 192.168.1.1, then you won't be able to access 192.168.0.1...

fixed that one out i got sky broadband now but i got two computers one downstairs and one upstairs the up stairs one was working yesterday but it now says local area connection unplugged and wireless network connection 3 is unplugged and every time it try to connected it says acquiring network address why is that i really want to used the upstairs computer could some one help me

Hi, you are putting the HTTP before the router IP are you, as I have the netgear one from sky and it is definately 192.168.0.1 to access it.

How to do what? If you're getting the username and password box, you've already got the router's web interface...
