Hi there,

I have a sky dish on the side of my house from the previous owner and I was wondering:

If I bought a sky box would I be able to get like freeview channels for free? Or do i need a subscription

Thanks...

You would get the FTA channels. These are (approx) All BBC Channels, Poss ITV, other random channels.

For a one off £20 you can buy an FTV card that'll get you Channel 4, five and others.

Hi there,

I am mainly after just the freeview channels, is it possible to get this without a subscription?

If so what do i need, I already have the dish....What box/card do i need?

Thanks...

You might want to see if you can get a freesat from Sky box/viewing card without purchasing the minidish. You get quite a lot of channels then - a lot of them are rubbish but there are some gems - and there's no subscription :)

Don't think you can get the package withou the minidish (full package is £150). Best bet is to look for a Digibox on ebay and buy the FTV card from Sky for £20.
