Is their broadband service really as bas as everyone makes out? Everyone around me is saying don't do it, but i'm currently with btbroadband at £26.99 a month and have my mac code and have itchy fingers

When I was looking at changing to sky the main thing that came up was that the pings are pretty high for online gaming on a PC. For xbox live they are not. Download speeds are supposed to be rock solid and no speed caps. Although some people say they have had emails after downloading 250GB in a month.
