I just bought Oblivion and could easily get into it. What's the opinion from those who have played it, would it be worth modding or should I wait for this Skyblivion thing being released?

I put over 300h into Oblivion. If I was you I'd definitely wait for Skyblivion.

I've started modding and playing Oblivion and I'm sorely tempted to crack on, however I'll hold off for this Skyblivion thing as it looks great.

Replayed a bit a while ago - complete with a Wabbajack modlists - but this does look a lot better.

Might do a full replay once it is finished and stable.

I doubt we'll get a 2025 release, probably just more self congratulating videos like this one.

I really wish they would just stay quiet until the game is ready and then give everyone a week's notice it was coming out.

The biggest problem is that Oblivion was the Windows 8 of Elder Scrolls, and this is just adding lipstick and trying to drown out the honking. Now Skywind would be worth it.

I'd love a skywind simply because I was too young to really appreciate morrowind.

But I did enjoy oblivion a lot and excited to play oblivion again.

The only trouble is that skyrim engine toennow feels so dated, so although having an updated oblivion will be good, the limitations of that skyrim engine are just so obvious now that it may worsen the experience.

It's to the point now you just think, imagine if they had just made a totally new game, how much more money could they have made.

Probably more playable than the awful UE5 remaster. Not looking forward to Witcher 4 running on that bloatware.
