I've just seen this advertised on Sky Movies.

http://www.sky.com/skybybroadband

Aparently you can view movies, as well as sports that are shown on sky, on your computer.

I'm guessing this is new, but was wondering if anyone has used it?

It seems like a good idea, but I want others to trial it out for me before I sign up :p

Shame all the films sky show are crap and have been out for years, the other day they were showing superman 2 from the 80's, what a joke. If I was the owner of sky I'd be embarassed.

It's good :). I don't have sky, but I've used it at a friend's house. If you have a sky subscription, you can get it from anywhere, which is good too.

Basically, it just gives you a list of things you can watch, which you can choose to download. They download and are active for 30 days I think, after which they die :(.

Films are good quality - DVD I believe (or as near and damn it anyway) - and play full screen nicely.

Ive been using it for a while now, its really good quality but download times are anything from 1 to 4 hours. I dont have a tv in the bedroom so I watch movies from sky broardband on a laptop,, IMO its a very good service :)

DO NOT USE THIS PROGRAM!

It works in a very similar way to bit torrent. Even uninstalling SkyByBroadband does not remove the file-sharing processes and your PC will still be used as an upload node!

Decent firewall blocks unwanted outgoing traffic.....
