Morning all

Quick question! Below are two sets of scores for the Skydiver Test. The left hand ones are from this morning, and the right from a week or so ago.

Apart from installing a second SSD and a couple extra case fans (gone from 2 to 4) the only thing I have changed is up the OC on the CPU from 4 to 4.2Ghz. This mornings test has shown the graphics tests drop in score while the physics and combined have gone up slightly, which has me a little confused.

Any ideas why this might be happening?

GPU running at 1479/1953 and is very stable (both tests run at this OC).My specs are in the sig and my power supply is the Superflower Golden Green 550W

Cheers

Thanks for the replies so quick!

Thanks P4Clock, i'll go back a step and see what happens. Already posted my high score, but I was losing out a little on the physics scores so was seeing if I could get slightly more and get up the table a little :)

Just quickly, how much is the error of margin in these tests?

thanks!

every test i run is different i would say 5%(ish) on the score, and when your GFX score is around 40,000 that would be 38,000 to 40,000

my best score from last week http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/5373938?
just run this there as been no change but score is lower. http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/5454251?

i use afterburner and put fans to 100% till my GPU is a set temp in my case top 35c bottom 31c then i set fans to auto and run the test. the number one thing is to watch temps the second your card throttles the run is over.

Just re run the test a couple of times with the 4ghz cpu, and apart from 3D Mark crashing on the combined test on run 2 it was still showing a graphics score at the 38k mark and the physics back to normal.

GPU wise, the temps hold at 60c never go over but the power briefly hits it's 110% limit set in AB in a couple of sections which drops the core clock down very slightly. I honestly cant remember if it did this before (probably but just didn't notice)

It seems my 41500 graphics score might be a one off :D

unfortunately 110% is the maximum unless I mess with the cards bios... not confident enough for that at the moment as I couldn't afford to replace it if I botched it up :D
