Just a though.

Just started using Windows Skydrive. A few questions.

Do I always have to start hotmail and go into 'office' to add files etc.

Or is it possible to (not sure of correct wording here) to map network hard drive to it. ie: so on my computer(s) I have another hard drive which is actually the skydrive one? ie linked to my skydrive so any files i drag there will be put onto the skydrive.

Also for friends etc to access the files (photos) do they have to have hotmail?
Or what. Not quite sure how to tell friends to go 'somewhere' and then they can see my photos.

thanks

Also heard about Windows Live Mesh, is that better, or what?

I use SkyDrive as an extra backup and can link people to files & directories (as long as they're set as public) directly. I don't even have hotmail, just a Windows Live account. Just link with a URL to the file/directory as normal and anyone should be able to see it.

Not sure about your other questions.

okay got skydrive now under 'my computer' but whenever i send a file to it, i get the error, file to big, be it 1mb / 3mb etc.

Anyone got any ideas?

Thought about Dropbox? I know it's only 2GB but very easy to use.

and if you use my link we both get a bit more storage :) Link
