Skylake better value for AutoCAD (2D)

If the software you are using can make use of the extra cores I would be looking at a Ryzen build. You get a lot more for your money than you do with Intel. There are some good deals to be had on Ryzen at the moment. In any case, I wouldn't touch Skylake now. We have had two new generations of cpu since Skylake launched and it's practically no upgrade at all from a 4790k. If you are intent on going Intel at least buy the latest generation such as the 6C/12T 8700k. I know there are no cheaper motherboards than Z97 and it doesn't look like there will be any until at least when the new cpu's launch later in the year but you will have a up to date platform.

As above go for Ryzen. Though cad 2D runs on near enough anything as long as you have 1-2gb gfx card.
ok, GPU fine its a decent quadro

I would go for a B350 motherboard rather than a A320 board and definately nothing from MSI (wouldn't touch any of their motherboards). This is a cracking price at the moment:-

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £83.45 (includes shipping: £10.50)
