Been doing some more overdue reading and research as I've been wanting to get back in to PC gaming (been a good 5yrs or so).
So finally pulled the trigger on this lot today:
Intel i5 6600 3.3ghz (was told for the money might as well 'go skylake')
be Quiet PURE ROCK cooler
ASRock H170A
PNY Anarchy 8GB DDR4
240GB SSD Drive (PNY)
1tb Storage
Radeon R9 390 (8GB)
Mid Tower ATX Case
DeepCool 750W 80+Gold power supply.

Already have keyboard, monitor and will get Win10
Not built a PC in years.
Anything I'm missing?
Cable Management tricks or helpers?
Thermal paste stuff? (:confused::D)

Figured if I need a cd drive I have spares in my old pc.

Should all arrive early next week......when I'm on holiday :(

Should be building it the weekend of the 27th hopefully. I'll snap some pics along the way of what I get, how things go together......and I'll actually try and make this look smart on the inside for once :p (however don't judge, as I usually don't have patience there and this PC will be tucked away out of site anyways).

I used to play Battlefield games, COD etc so will no doubt test it out on BF first as that's where I was most comfortable. Hopefully I still remember how to play :)
Once up and running I'll probably look into a new monitor (have a Dell 24" right now that's easily 5-6 yrs old). Would like to get a 1440p IPS panel I think.

Trouble is, soon as I get back from one holiday, I fly down to Dallas on the Tuesday for 3 nights :(
I see some late nights coming up :D

Also need to learn about maybe tweaking a little and overclocking.....not been down that route before - total beginner here.

I think you're pretty much set to go bud.

Thanks :) This may be a first i didn't forget something. Just have to wait til it all arrives now.

Now on to things like new monitor? Currently have a 24" 1080 Dell, however I have my eyes set on a 27" 1440 monitor, as I think the spec should be able to handle it on Ultra?

And...mechanical keyboard for gaming?

I have that CPU and recently managed to clock it to 4.3 Ghz and with the R9 390 it does just as well for gaming as a colleagues PC with an I7 6700K and a GTX 970.
Awesome, I'll probably ask you how that's all done in a couple weeks when I get back from Hols and get it built.
Clipsey can you confirm if your doing a build log or a spec check?

What does that en-tale, as I sure can do :)

EDIT: Just read what that requires and yes will do. Updating original post.
