Is it true that the Skylakes don't work well with Windows 7.
Is it also true that microsoft is pushing everyone to Win 10 on New PCs and that one part of Bios is Ghosted out so we can not un-install win 10 then Install Win 7..

Or are some magazines and internet giving out Scaremongering rubbish..

If true, I'll not buy a Skylake Ever..
Thanks.

Yes, after the 17th of July 2017 you will no longer be able to get Windows updates for Windows 7 running Skylake CPUs. And clearly all CPUs going forward will have this rule too.

However, really everyone should be moving to Windows 10. It massively helps Microsoft with the fragmentation of Windows, and you'll get DX12, etc. etc.

If U integrate the correct drivers into the install its working fine to be honest.

I still prefer 7 for stabilioty.

Skylake is supported on Windows 7 and will be until 2018. Future processor features will also be added to windows 7 / server 2008r2 until July 2018.

I have Skylake systems running Server 2008r2 and work perfectly.
