skype invisible

I log on to skype invisible and someone I don't want to talk to sends me a message 30 seconds later. I know you can send someone an IM/call to test if someone is invisible, how did this person know I had come online in the first place? (and no it was a historic message that came in as I logged in)

I've been google searching this, but there is no clear answer.

Have you connected Skype to Facebook? If so, then I think they can see you're online on Facebook chat even if you're set to invisible on Skype.

If I send someone a message on skype and they are offline, it buffers it but they don't receive until they log on. I also have to be on as well though, it's buffered locally.

Weird, I know.
