When ever i call my mate using skype on my pc it crashes my internet. it can vary between 30 seconds to 3 hours untill it crashes. i have tried all solutions i can find on the internet, including un ticking use port 80 and 443 and upnp with no results. is there anything else i can do? i have used skype on my phone and ipad and it seems fine. my mate doesnt have this problem and is using the same internet provider (virgin media) and the virgin super hub router/modem. however he has his connected through ethernet where as i have mone connected wireless. i have very good signal but when using skype it seems to slowley drop lower and lower untill disconnect. is there anything else i can try?

thanks

It sounds like the wireless signal can't handle it so you could use homeplugs which use your power sockets and it acts as a ethernet cable to your PC. I have never used them myself though but many people recommend them so might be worth a look for you.

My house is over 3 floors and the wireless router is on the ground floor, we've got a couple of wireless homeplugs (give off a wireless signal) which can be used to boost the signal upstairs and provide a LAN connection at the same time if required to the router.

Handy if you have both wireless and cabled devices that aren't near your router and no network cabling in the house. They do work very well.
