Skyrim - Compare Forge item to currently equipped?

I've got Skyrim on the PS3, and I'm beginning to get quite into it (only a couple of hours in), but one thing is bugging me. At the Blacksmith Forge, I can browse the items I can create, but I can't see how much better or worse the items are than what I have currently equipped - I have to look at what I'm wearing, remember the stat, go back through the menus, and compare. Is there a quick way to compare the Forge item with Equipped without crafting it?

Ah skyrim on the ps3, just wait til ur 2/3 in and starting to get into it before the lag ruins your life. Haven't played it in a while so can't help you out I'm afraid

That has been improved, my 100hr+ game save has minimal slow down now.

@Makhaira Not without crafting it I believe

they patched it? Time to break out my lvl 80 nord in 32" hd again

Yea, it's been patched, that's why I waited so long before I got this game!

Shame about the crafting, seems a fairly major omission in an RPG. Thanks for the responses though!

The still haven't fixed it from what I've read on the Bethesda forums, plenty of posts about how it's still lagging and still locking up over there.

It locks up, maybe about once per two hours (usually going through doors from inside to outside areas), the lagging is 1000x better though.

Never had a problem on mine (ps3) and racked up about 50-60 hours so far

Getting back to your point, instead of the lag issue

lol no there is no easy or instant way to do this other than what you are doing already unfortunately.

(Unless you have the official guide)
