Skyrim fail - Why don't you like it?

If you don't like Skyrim, you've said so.

Accept that people like different games to yourself, I've just downloaded it on Steam and I'm not a fan of games of this type but I want to give it a go.

There are enough games out there for you to play whatever you want, and other people play what they want.

So pretty much EVERYONE I know who owns a PC is going on about this game, and I can't for the life of me figure out why this game is so popular.

I've played Morrowind, and I just didn't get what the point of the game was.

As far as Skyrim goes, an MMORPG, without the MMO part? how does that work, from what I've seen and read about Skyrim, a game like this would benefit so much from having the online multiplayer that World of Warcraft has.

So I thought I'd offer a place for people to talk about why they dislike the game.

To be fair the lack of an online element is one reason I do shy away from this. Whilst being offline it can offer a much more immersive experience than your typical MMO I get annoyed by the fact that you finish it then thats it. All the work and time you put in is essentially over as they will release a new game and its forgotten.

The introduction of online features into games has really disuaded me from playing single player games, especially when some MMO's can offer a good story line too.

I've said multiple times, I get that people like different things, thats not my issue.

Now will a mod close this thread as it isn't going anywhere

You're right - your issue (by your own words I might add) is not understanding how anyone would enjoy running alone around a vast area, killing dragons. The answers you've been getting thus far are a reflection on this attitude. Short answer: they simply do. Get over it. Nobody is forcing you to join them in enjoying Skyrim.

I prefer Skyrim and other SP games to online games because 1. I hate other humans, and 2. How much worse is the RPG experience when people are all in a massive cluster**** in the centre of every town and all you can hear is people pestering you to trade or help do some dungeon. NO I don't like you, now GTFO of my story.

Imagine reading a great book but every 5 seconds text messages from random people appear in the middle of the paragraph and chapters from the books that people around you are reading appear inbetween the chapters of your book.

Nice post

Other than everyone talking about it, I've heard nothing about, haven't seen ny advertising and the description doesn't mean much or explain game play.

Well you could try following the huge Skyrim thread on this forum instead of reading this one for starters.

Maybe then you will realize that my burninfire.jpg is a recurring joke that I use on people who have never heard of the fantastic, majestic game.

Oh, and yes ....
