Skyrim low FPS :(

Hello,

A couple of days ago I was playing Skyrim on ULTRA with no lag at-all on my pc. But now It lags on High and Ultra so now I have to set graphics to Medium in order to play!

Spec's:
Q6600 2.4ghz
HD5850
x2 2GB DDR2 RAM
500w Corsair PSU
500GB HDD
Win7 Pro

I know my cpu inst the best but it ran Skyrim fine since i bought it till today so i dont know what the problem is, anyone have any idea?

I sometimes run in to this issue and I have a HD5830. One tip, turn the computer of for a little while, Believe me it does wonders.

I done this already, but still i have the same problem :/

As you played it just fine initially and it got worse over time I'm offering this as a long shot.

Do you have a large amount of saves?

I think I recall that having a load of saves for Oblivion (or possibly Morrowind) would progressively hinder performance.

Might be worth a shot or deleting a few if nothing else improves it.

Then defrag and run virus checker and at the extreme end dpc latency checker.If this wont work format and next time OC your cpu and GFX.Could not help but notice your quad is at 2.4GHZ.

OP must have changed or downloaded something somehow.

Thats a good idea, but i dont think its that because also in minecraft im only getting 50FPS a week ago i was @ 200+ FPS
