skyrim problems..

i know theres other skyrim thread but my posts seem to get lost in there so i thought id start a new 1...

so i have 2 main problems with skyrim which have stopped me playing it as it takes the enjoyment out of the game...

first is the big fps drops at random times like when coming into towns/villages.now i know sli scaling isnt working right in the game but inside i get 99% usage on both gpu's but when im out side i only get a max on 505 each card but when i get the fps drops the usage drops to 30% even lower some times...

second is the shadows, sky flickering very bad and also some thick bars flickering on the screen mainly when outside this happens.

all drivers up to date every other game i have is working spot on..

any fixes for these probs yet???

There are quite a few tweaks and fixes out at the moment, most related to crossfire, but some for SLI also.

Found this: http://www.overclock.net/t/1164844/...-11-drivers-and-11-11-cap-out-now-link-inside - Though its directly related to crossfire, there are some SLI fixes, maybe even some of the crossfire tweaks might help (TESV renaming, adding .dll files).

This especially:

ATI/Nvidia .DLL file fix : The age old Bethesda fix on release, a .dll file, Skyrim is no different and the nexus has supplied us with said DLL at the following link ; http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=123

Alternatively try disabling SLI and see how the game runs, a single 580 should be enough to max the game out at high enough settings while retaining a good framerate.

Disable SLI in this game, one 580 GTX will be enough for this game.

You can't really do much to increase the GPU usage since the game is throttling the CPU on two cores only.

ive tried disabling sli and i still get same problems...

Are you using any tweaks in the Control Panel?

Some forced options may be causing graphical glitches.

I assume the drivers are up to date and include the latest fixes.

You could always try the ENB series patch/mod.

Or Skyrim Better Performance dll.

yep latest beta drivers

im guoing to give the dll fix a try

what are the fixes in the control panel???

No idea mate, I haven't had an Nvidia card for a long time now.

Just make sure you aren't forcing anything through the Control Panel to rule out graphical glitches caused by that.

ive just tried to re install skyrim i completely wiped every thing, i started the game from the beginning and it still runs shocking 1 gpu @ 99% the other @ 15% what a joke...

30 fps at time..stuttering rubbish...

i cant play the game like this...
