Not sure if this is allowed or not?

Is it possible to flash the firmware on a Sky Broadband router and turn it back into a normal Netgear one?

It's not allowed because its under the skys terms and conditions that if you modify any of their free hardware they have the right to terminate your account.

Yes, it can be done. HINT: Netgear Website, model, firmware.

After 12 months you can modify it because its yours to keep.
