Looking to get skysports ready for start of new footy season, but don't know which skysports to go for. Sky are offering me the sports pack for £22 or just a skysports channel for £9.

I am only really interested in footy so don't see the point in paying extra for all channels if normally the prem games are just on one channel.

Can anyone tell me what sky channel they normally are on? If they rotate between them all then I suppose the £22 is justified.

Cheers

errm, most of the normal games would be on sky sports 1, champs league vary with lots being on 2, 3 and extra, i can't actually remember but I think its usually SS extra that gets the 8 way choice of match on champs league nights which is pretty useful and you get that when you buy the whole lot. I'd probably get them all and then £9 on top of that again for ESPN which will have a decent number of games on this year.

In my experience Premiership is mostly on SS1.

However if games clash or they show something more important then it can get shunted to SS2.

It's generally better to just get the whole package. With an HD box if you can afford it. ;)

Cheers guys , seems Like it's a mix between them all. Think I'll go for whole package.

Would been a waste if was just on one channel.

Its a bit cheap really, nothing to stop them putting all prem on SS1 and making sure any other things that might overrun are on other channels, or shunted from ss1 to 2 like bbc 1/2 for wimbledon. But frankly 90% of their viewers would only get a single channel if it had all the football so you're rather screwed into paying for them all.

ESPN at £9 might be expensive next year with only 23 games(if that stays) but this year they have 46 and quite a lot of big games aswell, think it will be well worth having.

The extras are the best. I have the skysports pack but at the moment there is no signal for sky sports 1 but we get 2 and 3. No signal for SS Xtra but we do get espn, extreme and a few others. Love watching Extreme and ESPN
