Hi

I watch a lot of interviews on skysports online, recently im having a problem with them starting and stopping?

I have 10 meg and never used to have this problem, even leaving them to buffer for a while isnt really working.

Is anyone else having a problem?

yer same here

is it normally really reliable then?! bad timing because I was watching it on my 40inch new tv and it kept buffering!

Yep normally never buffers, has been pretty much perfect since i started using it - only problem there is is regarding registering your computer. i have not changed my registered main computer yet the stupid software is telling me otherwise - now i cant use it on my main pc till next month. Am using it on the netbook now - the quality is pretty much perfect for a little screen like that.

You can phone them up, I forget the number but it is on the skyplayer website and they will reset the registered computers and you will be good to go again.

I too have had issues with it stopping and starting recently (last couple of weeks) it is not buffering as far as I can tell as it is an instant stop and instant start. I had some buffering when I first started using it and when it became available via the Xbox but since then it has been pretty stable until recently. It is a pain as it is my only way to watch sky sports as I am not in a cabled area and cannot put up a dish :(

If you update Silverlight it sometimes thinks it is a new computer. Quick call to Sky & you can get it reset :) I don't use the webbased Sky Player no more but Sky Player on the 360 has been fine for me.

Thanks for the advice guys - i have been using it on my dual screen setup and using skyplayer though media centre. I didnt update silverlight either (already had the latest one). It seems to be a problem with the software itself, sky have acknowledged it on their forums and are looking to fix it -god knows when that will be. Seems to be happening to lots of people.

I know I could call sky - havent got round to it yet :D will do so later this week
